TERMS & REGULATIONS OF THE FESTIVAL

The  “Nikos Astrinidis” Mixed Chorus in cooperation with Vafopouleio Cultural Center of Thessaloniki, organizes the 1st International Choir Festival "NIKOS ASTRINIDIS", which will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, November 3  2013, in the Vafopouleio Cultural Center Hall.

The organization of these prestigious choir event aims to:

• Promote and present the Choir Art in the wider region of Thessaloniki 
• Create bonds of friendship between the choirs in order to have beautiful musical experiences and stage collaborations in the future .
• Promote and present talented composers of specific time periods through their works 
• Encourage the performance of group works for orchestra, choir and soloists 
• Sustain the prestige of these long-lived choir events, which embrace and advance the choir art in the wider region of Europe.

Every type of chorus can participate in the festival: mixed, youth, childrens.
 Each choir should send via email a scanned copy of its application form filled, and accompanied by the required material, due by October 20 of 2013.

 To participate in the Choir Festival , each choir should send by email the following:
i. Application form (filled and signed)
ii. Recent photo and brief history of the choir
iii. Recent photo and brief history of the choir’s conductor
iv. Other material (if any)

Each choir is unilaterally responsible for its transportation plan and cost in Thessaloniki. The organization committee of the festival suggests the following low cost accommodation packages:

ROTONDA Double room:20€ Triple room:17€
ANESIS * Double room:21€ Triple room:18€
EL GRECO Double room:24€ Triple room:19€

The prices written above are per person per night. The price also includes breakfast in the hotel.

*The hotel ANESIS is small and can have a group of maximum 40 people.

All hotels are in the center of the city, where you can find many cheap restaurants to eat. For any suggestions, please contact us by email.
The prices written above are only for the choirs that participate in our festival. For that reason, if you want to make a reservation for your choir, you should contact us and not the hotel. That way, we will be able to get these super low prices for you!!!
